Coastal Flood Advisory Issued For Little Silver, Monmouth County
The advisory is in effect until at least 1 p.m.

The National Weather Service has again issued a coastal flood advisory for the Little Silver and Oceanport areas and much of New Jersey, authorities say.
The service’s Mount Holly office is warning residents that minor tidal flooding is anticipated this morning around the time of high tide. The alert covers all of the coastal counties of New Jersey from 8 a.m. until at least 1 p.m., according to the service’s website.
The advisory covers coastal areas of Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.

The forecast for today and tonight continues to be for periods of heavy rain, with a few thunderstorms possible that could bring strong, gusting winds.
Minor tidal flooding can result in road closures, the advisory notes. ”Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters, the water may be deeper than you think,” it says.
