Cornhole Tournament At Monmouth Park In Oceanport

It might be too cold to toss the beanbags outside, but you can sharpen your summertime form and win some money at the Cornhole Tournament on Jan. 26 in the second-floor grandstand of Monmouth Park Racetrack. Entry costs $70 per team, and the top-three teams will win cash prizes.

The tournament will begin with pool play, involving at least six games per team. Those results will determine seeding for a double-elimination bracket. The prize totals will depend on how many teams register.

Depending on the number of teams who enter, the tournament directors might split the competition into a competitive bracket and social bracket based on skill level, according to the Facebook event page.

Check-in begins at 11 a.m., and the tournament starts at noon. Registration is encouraged by not required, according to the event page. You can register here.
