Eat, Drink And Be Merry at Sea Bright Farmers' Market - May 28th

Farmers' Market Toasts the Health Benefits of Eating Local, Seasonal Produce with Food Writer Rachel Weston

Sea Bright Farmers’ Market is kicking into high action with “A Toast to Your Health”. Join us at the Market on Thursday, May 28th when we will be featuring Jersey’s own Gutsy Gourmet Rachel Weston. Rachel will offer samples of a refreshing Rhubarb, Rose Petal and Pink Peppercorn Spritzer as she toasts the good health benefits of using local, seasonal ingredients. She will also be sharing ideas on how to cook using rhubarb and offering tips on growing edible flowers which Harvest Moon Farm will have available for sale.

This pink drink pairs perfectly with Sea Bright’s “Paint the Town Pink” campaign, a community-wide effort to raise awareness of the importance of annual mammography screening. This event will conclude on May 28th with the raffling of a market-filled goodie basket. All who have contributed, or wish to, are encouraged to attend the Market @ 6PM for the drawing.

Held every Thursday through September from 2PM to 7PM, the Market is conveniently located in the municipal parking lot “P” on Ocean Avenue in downtown Sea Bright. Each week, the Market features small family farms from throughout the region that offer a bounty of locally grown fruit and produce, fresh cut and potted herbs and flowers, freshly baked bread and pastries, homemade jams and jellies, raw honey, locally roasted coffee, farm fresh cheeses, yogurt, eggs, pasture-raised meats and poultry and much more.
