Kortney's Challenge 2 Mile FUN Run/Walk

Join us for the 7th annual Kortney's Challenge 2 Mile FUN run/walk at Monmouth Park on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Flat course great for walkers and/or runners of every fitness level. Bring the whole family and get moving to Help Get Brain Tumors Off Kid's Minds!

Please pre-register on our website. Registrations received by 8/19 will be guaranteed an event T-Shirt. Received 8/20 or after it's what shirts are left on race day. Race begins at 10 AM but same day registration and free kid's face painting and tattoos begin at 8:30 AM. At 9 AM there will be an exhibition by the Dance Plus Performance Team. Awards to top three men and women. All participants will receive a goody bag and free entry to the racetrack grandstand for the day of horse racing. After you finish the walk/run there will be food and crafts. Some are free and some will ask for a nominal donation amount. At 11:30 AM there will be the track's Free Family Fun events, including pony rides, balloon animals, bouncer and more.

For an additional fee of $20 for participants of Kortney's Challenge or $25 for non-participants, you can stay for a day of thoroughbred racing in our "Day at the Races" picnic area, hosted by the Oceanport PBA with KRF. There will be food, drink, a race program & all of our attendees get a photo in the winner's circle area before the horse race named for The Kortney Rose Foundation. Our family then gets to give the winning horse/jockey/owner the winner's trophy.

All in all it's a great family day for everyone to get moving and help sick kids in the process.
