Mastro Montessori Presents Children's Opera "Pearl"

The talented students of Little Silver’s Mastro Montessori will stage “Pearl” on Saturday, June 25, 2:00pm, at the Middletown Arts Center Theatre, 36 Church Street, in Middletown. This original underwater myth, composed, directed, and choreographed by Sanford & Judy Jones of Youth Opera International, tells a captivating tale of abduction and rescue. Pearl, daughter of the River Goddess, is taken captive by the lonely, conflicted Oyster King.  But fear not, a happy ending ensues.  A special gift persuades the Oyster King to release Pearl so that she can be reunited with her beloved River Folk in a joyful celebration.   What special gift transforms the Oyster King?  Join us and find out!

Adults and children alike will enjoy the lively performance performed by current Mastro Montessori students and a few of its illustrious alumni. Youth Opera International will guide the cast through word, song, and dance.

To purchase tickets call 732-842-5816. Tickets prices are $20 for Adults and Seniors and $5 for Children.
