Monmouth County NJ East Holistic Moms Network Monthly Meeting

Our June Meeting will be on Art Therapy and will be led by Elissa Bowes-Arbeitman, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT. She will discuss how using Art-Therapy with our children can be helpful. She is a nationally board certified, registered Art Therapist, is the founder of Higher Art, LLC. After almost 10 years, and having the privilege of working with hundreds of families, Elissa noticed that the most rapid progress made towards change involved focusing on her client’s strengths, not their deficits. Elissa is passionate about helping children and teens get out of their “I’m not good enough” thinking and back into their playful heart where their strengths and capabilities live. She uses art as a tool to connect to her clients, so they can find the words to help them move forward. She uses creative problem solving techniques to help her clients speak about their problems rather than shut down, use words rather than act out and ultimately feel more confident and connected.
