The Little Silver Historical Society was formed in 1973 in order to raise funds to move the Post Office building from its original location on Church Street to its current location next to the Library to make room for the Cheshire Square development.
The building was relocated, renovations made and a museum was created within from the generous donations from the Borough and townspeople!
Today, the Little Silver Historical Society opens the Post Office Museum on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., free of charge.
