RBR NAHS Hosts Kaleidoscope ---A Celebration of the Visual Arts

On Thursday, May 19,
the Red Bank Regional (RBR) National Art Honor Society (NAHS) students will
hold Kaleidoscope, an interactive celebration of the visual and performing
arts. The event, which takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 in the RBR pit and commons
area, features film, face painting, cartooning, sand illumination art, crafts,
spin art, and color by number, among others. Dancers will even perform while
painting with their feet! Additionally, there will be a signature kaleidoscope
collage, musical performances and art work display. Refreshments feature very
colorful foods. The cost of the program is $2.00 for children 6 to 11, and
$5.00 for anyone 12 or older. All proceeds will be sent to the American Red
Cross earmarked for fellow Americans who were impacted by the recent severe
storms in the South. For more information, contact RBR teacher and NAHS advisor
Claudia O’Connor at coconnor@rbrhs.org.

The National Art Honor Society was founded in 1978 for high
schools students from grades 10-12. It recognizes and distinguishes students
who display an aptitude and avid interest in the field of art, helps them to
attain their artistic goals to the best of their abilities, and provides
opportunities for its members to contribute to local community charity events.
