RBR Summer VPA Academy Perform The Wizard of Oz at Count Basie

The Red Bank Regional (RBR) Summer Academy for the Performing Arts will present the Tams-Witmark/MGM production of the Wizard of Oz (as presented by the Royal Shakespeare Academy) at the Count Basie Theater on Thursday, August 11, at 7 pm.

The RBR Summer Academy of the Arts enjoys its 11th year providing an exploratory visual and performing arts program for middle school students and rising freshmen. Many of RBR’s own Visual and Performing Art Academy students have attended this program.

Summer Academy Director Kris Zook states of the performance, “Every year, our campers put on a spectacular show which is thoroughly enjoyed by an audience of all ages. This year, we have the privilege of performing at the beautiful Count Basie theatre, while our own theatre is under renovation. We hope many people will come out to this wonderfully entertaining event.”
