Sickles Market Launches Cooking Through The Seasons Class Series with Lunchtime Express Cooking Demos – All About Asparagus
Get ready to cook up a tasty, seasonal bounty with Sickles Market’s new cooking series called “Cooking Through the Seasons.” The first set of a monthly series will be Lunchtime Express cooking classes and lunch with Chef Carol Maxwell of Sickles Market. At each session, which will be held off-site at Taste & Technique’s state-of-the-art kitchen in Fair Haven, Chef Carol will show participants how to make simple and delicious gourmet dishes using the freshest seasonal fruits and vegetables available at Sickles Market. For the inaugural cooking class, Chef Carol has placed Jersey asparagus in the spotlight, because it is seasonal and tasting at its absolute best! On May 23 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in just 2 hours, you’ll enjoy a light lunch, sit back, and simply relax as Chef Carol demonstrates four separate dishes, all using the featured ingredients of the day. The ingredients and recipes are selected so that you can make them at your home and dazzle your family and friends. Demo includes lunch and goodie bag. The cost is $55 per person or $99 for two. Other events will include special guest chef appearances. The first up is Chef Gioacchino Passalaqua, of Balestrate, Italy, on Thursday June 23 from 11 – 1 p.m. Chef Gioacchino, will demonstrate dishes using artisanal Italian and Californian Olive Oil. The fee is $55 per person, $99 for two and lunch is not included, however there will be sampling of the prepared dishes.
