Fire Drill Takes Over Downtown Little Silver Monday Night

A borough-owned building that is slated to be torn down next week in provided the perfect opportunity for local fire depatments to practice life saving maneuveurs on Monday night.

The brought in a smoke machine and all their vehicles to practice ventilation and search and rescue techniques in a house that will be demolished to make way for an expanded parking lot.

The exercise began around 7 p.m., according to Little Silver Assistant Fire Chief Peter Giblin and was wrapping up around 8:15 p.m.
