A coastal flood advisory has been issued by National Weather Service heading into Tuesday evening.

Most of New Jersey is under a Coastal Flood Advisory this evening, according to a National Weather Service alert.

The forecast specific to Oceanport from the NWS:

This Afternoon: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 61. East wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 58. East wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Wednesday: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 65. East wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
