Lady Bucs Trump Lady Falcons 10-9

Morgan Schroll's double in the bottom of the sixth drove in Jess Stevenson for the win.

In a tightly-contested Saturday morning game that could have gone either way, Red Bank Regional's Morgan Schroll doubled in the bottom of the sixth to bring Jess Stevenson home and win the game 10-9.

Trish Langely started the Lady Bucs off in the first inning with a three-run homer.  Also making significant contributions for Red Bank were Brielle Pennington, who  knocked in 3 RBIs, and Shanon LeBlanc, who went was 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Pitcher Alexis Hines picked up the win for the Lady Bucs and Monmouth's Sam Smith took the loss.

Though they fell a few runs short, the Lady Falcons were hitting the ball well. Mary Beerie went 2 for 5 with a double, Meghan Mego went 2 for 5, and Sam Carreta went 2 for 3.

The Lady Bucs return home to face Shore Regional High School on Tuesday, May 3 at 4 p.m.
