Steve Rogers takes a behind-the-scenes look at Monmouth Park heading into the 2011 racing season.
With just 24 hours until opening day and a fresh deal on the table between the state and a new owner for the track, Monmouth Park was alive with the pulse sound that keeps the spirit and the blood of the place flowing, the gallop and the heavy breath of the thoroughbred. Patch correspondent Steve Rogers returned to the Park for the final pre-season, sunrise training session and took in the visions of the track, the stables, and the jockey room.
