Video: Little Silver Remembers "Mayor Suzy"
Residents reflect on the life of Mayor Suzanne Castleman, who died Friday at the age of 76
Little Silver lost a good friend and staunch advocate for the community on Friday night with the passing of Mayor Suzanne Caslteman. Many in Little Silver have fond memories of the lifelong Little Silver resident who raised her two daughters Ann and Elizabeth with husband Don in the community she loved.
Castleman served on Borough Council from 1984-1994 acting as a representative to the Shade Tree Commission, Recreation Committee, Library Board, Personnel Committee and as Police Commissioner during that time. She has been Mayor of Little Silver since 1994.
Castleman is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Castleman-Halpin, and Anne Connell, and four grandchildren, Brook Connell, Erin Connell, Connor Halpin, and Noelle Halpin.
