Lunch and Movie January 22

The library committee of Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) will host a lunch and film screening of “The Attack” at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 22 at 171 Ridge Road, Rumson. All are welcome to attend and participate in the conversation following the film.

Directed by Ziad Doueiri, who was born in Lebanon, the film tells the story of a wellestablished Arab-Israeli surgeon in Tel Aviv who discovers, much to his horror, that his wealthy, middle-class wife is a suicide bomber. The drama, based on Yasmina Khadra’s international bestseller of the same name, won numerous film festival awards, but was banned in much of the Arab world.

Admission is $15 for congregants and $20 for non-congregants and will include Israeli food, desserts and coffee. Advance registration is required by Jan. 17. The snow date will be Jan. 29. For more information or reservations, call 732-842-1800, ext. 203, or visit www.cbirumson.org.
