N.J. Dept. of Education publishes annual report card for Little Silver, Oceanport schools

This past week, the N.J. Department of Education released its annual New Jersey School Report Card, which presents thirty-five fields of information for each school in the following categories: school environment, students, student performance indicators, staff, and district finances.
“One of the major goals of the Department of Education is to increase school- and district-level accountability for educational progress by communicating useful information to members of the public to be used in measuring how well their schools are doing,” according to the NJDOE. “The New Jersey School Report Card has provided the public with information about every school in New Jersey since 1995 when the Legislature mandated the annual accountability report.”
Here are some highlights from the 2009-2010 school year findings for Point Road School, Markham Place School, Red Bank Regional High School, Wolf Hill School, Maple Place School and Shore Regional High School:

Point Road School
- The length of a normal school day at Point Road was 6 hours and 30 minutes. The state average was 6 hours and 30 minutes.
- 5 hours and 30 minutes was the amount of time per day Point Road students were engaged in instructional activities. The state average was 5 hours and 42 minutes.
