Oceanport Police Blotter: Reports of Theft and Speeding Crackdown

June 2: Patrols responded to a report of theft on Comanche Drive. The resident stated between May 29 and June 3 an unknown subject(s) stole the rear camera facing the garage off of her home. This matter is also under investigation with Ptl Chrisovaldis Mageros leading.
June 2: Patrols responded to a report of a theft at. The victim advised patrol that an unknown person(s) removed an envelope from the victim’s purse containing several receipts and cash. This matter is under investigation lead. Sgt. Steven Tagerty responded to the incident.

June 3: Patrols responded to a report of a theft on Crescent Place. The victim stated that while at the dog park, an elderly female went into the victim’s vehicle and stole $40 in cash and left the area in a vehicle described as a tan colored Lexus. This matter is under investigation. Ptl Chrisovalandis Mageros responded to the incident.
Speeding Enforcement Initiative:
The Oceanport Police Department, in an attempt to greatly reduce the overall speeds at which motorists travel at through the borough, have begun a speeding enforcement initiative throughout the borough, targeting numerous
streets. The initiative will be an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of the motoring and pedestrian traffic within the borough.
