Barcus said the department had noticed more speeding along Port Au Peck following a recent paving that's created a bit of a "speedway" is town.
He said that over the last year, speeds clocked for traffic stops in Oceanport had steadily increased. The department hopes to call attention to reducing speeds before the warmer weather brings out more bikers, joggers and children onto the streets and increasing the potential for accidents.
"Right now it's a danger," said Barcus of the speeding traffic, " but we need to get it under control before it becomes a problem."
