Point Road Band Rocks The Suburbs
After a year of hard work and practice, the fourth grade band displays its talent at the school's annual spring concert.
The Band played a selection of music at their June 2 spring concert, including the Caribbean favorite "Banana Boat Song" and the theme from "New World" in which they were accompanied by Mrs. Jessica Kortnehaus in piano.
Point Road students are given the opportunity to take up an instrument in fourth grade. The band students are taught before school each week by the music teacher Mr. Eric Clark.
The spring concert is an opportunity for the band to strut their stuff after a year of hard work and practicing. Families packed the school’s gymnasium and applauded loudly at the end of each piece.
