​ RBR Jazz Band Wins Jackson School Band Competition

Red Bank Regional (RBR) school Jazz Band recently brought home multiple accolades from the Liberty Jazz Festival held at Jackson in late April. The RBR jazz band, under the direction of RBR music teacher Kevin Pryor, took first place in the competition and were named the outstanding trumpet section with David Grant named outstanding soloist.

The members of the jazz band include: Saxophones -Charlotte Jansky, Little Silver; David Grant, Shrewsbury; Amy Gardner, Union Beach; Holly Scanlon, Little Silver; Juana Santamaria, Red Bank; Trombones – Tyhler Harty, Shrewsbury; Lucas Bonnell, Bradley Beach; Trumpets – Davis Bush, Millstone; Mike Niro, Shrewsbury; Nick Rose, Shrewsbury; Kyle Peschler, Little Silver; Aron Wiener, Loch Arbour Village; Rhythm section – Ben Novara, Little Silver; Miles Hansen, Red Bank; William Casey, Red Bank; Kenneth Blake, Shrewsbury; Aidan Dougherty, Brielle; Jacob Fisher, Red Bank and John Simone, Shrewsbury.
