Red Bank Regional Dancers Strut Into Spring

The spring show featured something for everyone, a delightful mixture of dance styles including contemporary, hip hop, tap and modern numbers.

Under the direction of Dorianne Murray, thirty-three dance majors from Red Bank Regional's Performing Arts Academy performed twenty-seven numbers.  Most of the pieces performed were choreographed by the students.

Guest choreographers included Rosemary Boross, Alex Vari, Gabrielle Barnett, Lawrence Edwards and Elysha Richmond.  Lawrence Edwards and Elysha Richman are both graduates of the dance program at Red Bank Regional.

The opening piece, “Through the Looking Glass,” was choreographed by Anthony Tiedeman and Shea Savaria, and featured the entire Red Bank Regional Dance Ensemble.  Anthony Tiedeman, of Red Bank, will be attending the Julliard School in New York City after graduation. Shea Savaria, of Belmar, is also heading off to New York City in the fall to attend New York University as a psychology major.

For anyone in the audience who missed the Monmouth County Teen Arts Festival, they were treated to a performance of “Those You’ve Known,” choreographed by Anthony Tiedeman.  The piece was awarded first prize at the festival.
