Steve Bidgood, managing partner, Salt Creek Grille, Rumson is pleased to announce Salt Creek Grille’s charity for 2014, Hope for Children Foundation of New Jersey. The annual Salt Creek Grille Anniversary Wine & Martini Tasting Fundraiser - to be held in the popular American grill’s private dining room with spectacular views of the Navesink River - is set for Thursday, April 10, 2014, 7-10 p.m. There will be a gift basket and exciting live auction as well as a cash raffle $50 per chance. Tickets for the event are $150 per person. For further information or to purchase tickets please visit www.hfcf.org or call 201-705-4544.
Bidgood started the event 11 years ago to celebrate the popular, award-winning restaurant’s 5th anniversary and to support local charities. To date over $620,000 has been raised for 10 local charities that serve children’s needs. 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to the charity thanks to the generous support and donations of goods and services made by purveyors and Salt Creek Grille. Six wine vendors, which have supported the event for the past ten years, pour premiere wines and a spirits vendor shakes specialty martinis for the popular event. Salt Creek Grille provides passed hors d’oeuvres, pasta and carving stations. Local business favorites also get in on the act and have included artisanal cheeses from Sickles Market and a raw bar by Lusty Lobster. The Bobby Boyd Trio entertains the event with live jazz music. In addition to the event and to create further public awareness, Bidgood flies the charity’s flag from the landmark restaurant’s flagpole at the base of the Oceanic Bridge year round.
"It means so much to us to be chosen by Steve Bidgood to be Salt Creek's charity for 2014,” said Eric Hinds, president and co-founder of HFCF. “We have worked very hard over the past 10 years to become recognized within the community as an organization that is proven to be a viable resource for children in need,” he explained.

HFCF is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization of young professionals, entrepreneurs and parents in Monmouth County working together to raise funds to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. HFCF was started 10 years ago with the simple goal of “getting together with family, friends and colleagues to make a difference in our community." On an annual basis HFCF identifies charitable organizations and individuals that will benefit from monies raised from various fundraisers. To date, HFCF has donated close to $2 million to local charities and families in need of assistance.
“We firmly believe that the best way to invest in our future is to invest in our children,” said Bidgood about the fundraiser. “We thank our community for helping us make this event one of our most successful events in our area,” said Bidgood. “This is Monmouth County’s most popular fundraiser so get your tickets today!”
