Live Nativity animals will be at Sickles Market’s Holiday Open House on Friday, November 13, from 5-7 p.m. Children will be allowed to feed and pet the animals. Santa will also be making a stop at Sickles Market for photos. The event is free.
The animals –alpaca, sheep, goats and mini-horses - can be seen in tents adjacent to Sickles Market’s greenhouse, which will be teeming with gorgeous winter blooms including amaryllis, poinsettias, cyclamen, and hydrangeas perfect for setting the holiday mood in the home. Additionally the Christmas Shoppe will be fully decked out with traditional and cutting-edge Christmas ornaments. Several Christmas trees will be decorated in various themes to help spark the imaginations of Sickles’ customers.
In addition to the special visitors at the very popular annual Sickles Market Holiday Open House, will be many delicious tasting demos for easy, elegant entertaining solutions. Deep savings will be featured throughout the market to help kick off the holiday spirit. There will be some very exciting surprises, too.
Also on display will be the new line of life-like artificial Christmas trees from 4 to 12 feet high, many complete with lights. Artificial trees are the perfect holiday decorating solution for families who travel during the holidays, or members who may have allergies or those families looking for sustainable solutions when celebrating the holidays, or simply for those with super busy households looking for solutions to make their holidays fun and easy. Faux trees are now more beautiful and easy to assemble than ever before.
The first of the fresh-cut Christmas trees will arrive the weekend following the Open House including the new “white-tipped Frasiers.” These trees look as though their boughs are perpetually tipped with a delicate cover of fresh snow. And remember, if you have a favorite large container that you would like Sickles to decorate bring it is as soon as possible. Or, you can purchase a container already decorated for the holidays for your front door entrance.
There will be special savings throughout the market include sales in the butcher, cheese, produce, deli, gourmet groceries, bakery, floral, gift departments as well as in the Christmas Shoppe and garden center. Attendees will also be able to sample many of the dishes offered on the Thanksgiving Menu including Sickles Own Turkey Breast, Whipped Sweet Potatoes, Pork Sausage & Apple Bread Stuffing, Turkey Gravy on the side, Pumpkin Bisque Soup, Baked Brussels Sprouts with Smoked Bacon and Creamy Pearl Onions. Many other demos will be held throughout the market. Seasonal floral arrangements will also be on display to inspire your holiday table theme.
If that’s not enough to get you into the holiday spirit then the Monmouth Civic Chorus will certainly do the trick. Members will be singing familiar Christmas carols with verses that will definitely bring a smile to your face and a song into your heart.
So bring the entire family to what is sure to be an enchanted afternoon and evening!
