All School Budgets in Oceanport and Little Silver Pass

All four school districts in Oceanport and Little Silver were hoping residents would back their budgets Wednesday, and by the end of the night, they had all the nods they needed to move forward.
Results are unofficial until they are certified by the Board of Elections later next week.
In Oceanport, . The tax levy is a 2 percent increase over the 2010-11 tax levy. Voters also agreed to the $7,797,762 tax levy for the K-8 district budget by a margin of 434-317.

Of the five candidates running for seats on the Oceanport Board of Education, incumbent Chris McCrea garnered the most votes with 416. He will be joined on the board by Mark O'Neil, who got 368 votes, and Ted Gammon, who got 296.
In Little Silver, voters agreed to Red Bank Regional's $18.6 million tax levy by a margin of 1,108-712. Seth Rosen will represent Little Silver on the Red Bank Regional board, as he won 47 percent of the vote.

Little Silver residents also OK'ed the $10.5 million local tax levy for the K-8 district. Incumbent Stephanie Brannagan piled up 595 check marks and will rejoin the board, along with Michael Grant and Arthur Adamson.
