Should RBR Institute Subscription Busing?

Survey on school website seeks to gauge interest in adding parent-paid busing service.

students from certain sections of Red Bank and Little Silver who are currently ineligible for district-provided busing may be interested in filling out this survey on the school's website regarding subscription busing.

The Board of Education is actively considering adding the parent-paid busing service depending on the feedback they get from the survey, which asks parents basic questions such as whether they would be willing to pay for subscription busing and if so, how much they would be willing to pay.

RBR parent Robert Sandorse, of Little Silver, said many parents are requesting the bus service, which was stopped for students living less than 2.5 miles away from the high school in the 2009-2010 school year due to state budget cuts. Sandorse said the service was cut without any notice to parents.

"Parents would have to pay for it, but it would be well worth it," said Sandorse in an e-mail to Patch.

There are 10 questions on the survey altogether. The survey can be completed and submitted online in under a minute, and is available at the following URL: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GYQB63L
