On Thursday, May 8th, the local chapter of the “Police Unity Tour” braved the rain and cycled through Red Bank to honor the late Red Bank Police Chief Stephen McCarthy and to kick-off their tour. Red Bank Catholic students cheered them as they rode by to show their support.
The Police Unity Tour is a group of law enforcement officers who will be bicycling to Washington, D.C. to honor officers who have died in the line of duty and to raise awareness of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Museum which is located in there. The motto of the "Police Unity Tour" is "We Ride for Those Who Died," and this area's chapter will be leaving Trenton on Friday May 9th to head to DC. The Red Bank Catholic community thanks them for their service and wishes them a safe and successful ride.
