The festival will be held on Friday, June 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Maple Place School in the borough.
Come join the fun! This year’s attractions include a new WATER WAR competition! Will you be the big raffle winner this year? Make sure you get a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes such as an iPad Air, and a Kindle Fire HD. Raffle tickets will be sold at $5 each.
Local dentist and Oceanport Lion Craig Sprung will also participate in the Shotdoc Basketball Challenge. Sprung will attempt (30) 3-point basketball shots at 7:45 p.m. in the gym. Guests can make donations for as little of 25 cents for every shot Sprung makes into the basket.
Have dinner with your family and friends at the festival. The menu includes pizza, hot dogs, ice cream, root beer floats, coffee, tea and soda. The main menu item, of course, will be the fresh and delicious strawberry short cake.
Festival-goers can also donate their old eyeglasses and there will be a prize for the family that brings in the most pairs.
Also be sure to visit the FEMA information table for a free bag of popcorn, and get the latest information on available resources to those still in recovery from damages sustained by Hurricane Sandy.
All monies raised = all monies donated. There are no administrative expenses for the event.
