On September 13th, Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Neubelt and four Little Silver Troop 126 scouts were inducted into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s Honor Society. To be considered for membership, scouts must be at least First Class rank, have extensive camping experience and demonstrated superior scouting ideals. The Order of the Arrow recognizes those Scouts and Adult Leaders who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives, according to the Boy Scouts of America. After being “called-out” as chosen candidates in a formal ceremony, the Scouts participated in Na Tsi Hi Lodge 71’s Fall Powwow at Quail Hill Scout Reservation in Manalapan. A total of 188 Order of the Arrow candidates and members worked in various service projects to improve the reservation.
At a ceremony held in May at Forestburg Scout Reservation in upstate New York, three Scouts advanced from Ordeal level to Brotherhood level in the Order of the Arrow and Assistant Scoutmaster Ed Christensen was inducted into the Order of the Arrow.
