Update: Lottery Official Visits Little Silver Pharmacy
Wednesday's $70 million Powerball ticket was purchased at Little Silver Family Pharmacy
As soon as we heard the news, Patch ran over to the Thursday morning to see what we could find out some more about the $70 million winning Powerball ticket purchased there some time over the last few days.
We bumped into Cisco Torres, who is a special investigator with the New Jersey Lottery out of Trenton, who was going through the pharmacy's paperwork at the front counter.
"This is the first step in the process," said Torres, who was going over the pharmacy's purchasing records in order to verify the winning ticket holder once he comes forward.

Torres was being assisted by Little Silver Family Pharmacy Custumor Service Representative Patrick Noble, who told Patch that it was a single ticket purchased some time between Sunday and Wednesday.
According to the Powerball Web site, winners for the jackpot and cash game tickets are drawn every Wednesday and Sunday night at 10:59 p.m. and tickets cost $2. Jackpot winners -- who match all five white balls and the red Powerball -- can choose a lump sum payment or to have winnings annuitized over 29 years.
