VIDEO: Easter Bunny Comes Early to Little Silver
The borough's annual egg hunt had been postponed to Sunday.
Although it had been postponed to Sunday because of Saturday's soggy weather, about 150 parents and children came out for annual Easter Egg Hunt at Markham.
This is the fourth year that the long-time event was sponsored by the and lots of officers were on hand to dole out sweet treats to the kids after the egg hunt.
Recreation Director Doug Glassmacher, whose committee helped organize the event that he guessed had been going on for about 30 years, said that the over 2,000 plastic eggs were glued shut so that kids could take home wrapped candy that hadn't been lying on the ground. "We feel it's a little more sanitary," he told Patch.

Even the Easter Bunny made it to Sunday's rain date and parents lined up with their children for a photo op, which made a few little ones kind of nervous.
