VIDEO: Tribute to Little Silver's Jon Bitman
A friend and teammate of Councilman Jon Bitman, who died Tuesday after an almost two-year battle with cancer, created a moving tribute to his fellow Croc.
Little Silver's Jon Bitman, , wore a lot of different hats.
He was a husband, a dad and a councilman. He served on the town's planning board, the high school's education foundation and supported the Special Olympics.
But he was also a good friend to his fellow teammates on the Crocs softball team, which gives the over-40 set an outlet to compete and bond both on and off the field.

"He was loved by so many," Bitman's friend and teammate John Pouso told Patch in an e-mail Wednesday.
Pouso created and shared with Patch a video tribute to Bitman that captures the team's friendship that goes way beyond the softball field.
