180 Turning Live Around will be conducting its annual Spring DVRT (Domestic Violence Response Team) 40 Hour Training starting March 18 through April 10, Tues/Wed/Thurs evenings, 6p-9:30p at the Manalapan Municipal Complex. The DVRT advocates are civilian members of the community who are trained to work in collaboration with local law enforcement throughout Monmouth County to assist victims of domestic violence at their time of crisis. The trained volunteer advocates provide emotional support, local recources and options that are available to victims at their time of crisis. Identities of advocates are kept anonymous. Requirements are must be 18 yrs of age or older, have access to reliable transportation, valid drivers license, submit to a background investigation, fingerprinting and able to complete the mandatory 40 hr training.
