Livingston Renews Litter Abatement Contract With First Occupational Center

The contract will be funded with a grant from the New Jersey Clean Communities Program.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Health Department recently announced that it is renewing its contract with First Occupational Center for litter abatement.

Livingston Township released the following details about the agreement with First Occupational Center:

“First Occupational Center and its staff have been providing this service to the Livingston community for years. The cleanup program commences in April and runs through December. Litter and debris will be removed from public areas within the township, including the Municipal Complex, Memorial Park and Oval, Town Center, Okner Sports Complex, and bus stops throughout town. First Occupational Center has provided job training and placement opportunities since 1954. Its mission is to help individuals and families in need to acquire assistance and a greater sense of self-worth and dignity. First Occupational Center provides opportunities for adults to develop work skills in cleaning services.”
