LIVINGSTON, NJ — A multi-million-dollar renovation has crossed the finish line at the ShopRite of Livingston, with a ribbon cutting and customer celebration event just around the bend.
Village Super Market will host a family friendly celebration for customers from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at the ShopRite of Livingston, 483 South Livingston Avenue. The public event will include live music, face painting and balloon artists, vendor samplings, a tuna cutting demonstration at noon, and a parmesan wheel cracking at 1 p.m.
There will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, May 18. Store leadership will present a $5,000 check to the West Essex YMCA, awarded through the Sumas Family Foundation. The grant is part of Village Super Market’s “You Choose. We Give.” program, which empowers associates to nominate local nonprofits making a meaningful difference in their communities.
The storewide renovation features new décor and expanded departments, including a certified kosher bakery under the supervision of the Vaad of MetroWest, an international cheese department, and upgraded prepared foods and produce departments.
The remodel builds on last year’s addition of a dedicated kosher market.
