Juneteenth Holiday In Livingston: Town Closures, Garbage, Recycling

Livingston town offices will close on June 19 in recognition of the holiday. Here are some other local changes to know.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston town offices will close on Friday, June 19 in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday.

All offices will reopen during regular business hours on Monday, June 22, according to a news release from the township.

Here are some other changes to keep in mind for the holiday:

Garbage and Recycling

Garbage and recycling will be collected according to the normal Friday schedule. Any questions about garbage and recycling pickup should be directed to Livingston’s collection vendors:

Metal Recycling

There will be no metal pi​ckup on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Metal recycling pickup will resume on Friday, June 26; register by noon on Thursday, June 25.

Residents are reminded that the metal pickup request form will not be available the week of June 15 through 19.

Register online for metal pickup starting Monday, June 22 at livingstonnj.org/Metal
