LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston officials are telling residents to be careful opening scam emails that mimic the township's address.
On Sunday, township administrators issued a warning to avoid clicking on links from Blue Mountain Cards that are purportedly sent from "livingstonnj.org" email addresses. This includes but may not be limited to any from Township Clerk Carolyn Mazzucco.
"These are not the township's doing and likely represent effort to scam or attack you and your assets," municipal administrators said.
Residents who receive such emails should consign them to their spam folders and ignore them, officials said.
