The Livingston Public Library will host its 4th annual Makers Day on Saturday, March 23, 2019. About 400 people attended Livingston Library’s Makers Day last year and experienced a robotics demonstration as well as a interactive activities and crafts with LEGOs, electrical circuits, and slime. Makers Day is a statewide NJ initiative designed to celebrate, promote, and introduce maker culture, as well as the values associated with making tinkering and STEM-based learning.

This year, the library has decided to expand its celebration to an entire month of events. “We didn’t want this to only be a one-time thing for kids,” said Katie Neylan, Adult Services Librarian, “so we have expanded the programs we are offering throughout March and calling it Makers Month.”
