2 Charged With Attempted Murder In Eatontown: MCPO
A 48-year-old man was found with stab wounds on his neck and body at the Crystal Inn Motel, the prosecutor said.
EATONTOWN, NJ — Two people were charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed multiple times Wednesday in Eatontown, officials said. Authorities found a 48-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck and body at the Crystal Inn Motel on Route 35, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
Casey Ern — of Eatontown — and Stephanie Tillman — of Cromwell, Connecticut — were charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, armed robbery, unlawful weapon possession, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, the MCPO said.
Eatontown police responded to a report of a man being stabbed at the motel shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday, the MCPO said. The unnamed victim was taken to a local hospital, according to authorities.

Attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and armed robbery are first-degree offenses. If convicted of the first-degree crimes, Ern and Tillman face up to 20 years in prison. They would be required to serve 85 percent of the sentence before potential parole eligibility.
