3 From Long Branch Charged In Drug Ring; 1 At Large: Feds
Twenty people were charged with involvement in a Monmouth County crack and cocaine conspiracy, officials said.
TRENTON, NJ — Three people from Long Branch were among 20 charged with involvement in a drug-trafficking conspiracy in the Monmouth County area, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Thursday. Keith Logan, one of the defendants, remains at large, officials said.
The crack and cocaine distribution ring partially operated in Long Branch, as well as several other towns in and around Monmouth County, the USAO said. The 20 defendants conspired to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine and at least 280 grams of crack between April and August, officials said.
The following Long Branch residents were charged, according to the feds:

- Logan; 38; conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine; conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute more than 280 grams of crack
- Shamar Dudley; 42; conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine; conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute more than 280 grams of crack
- Amad Jones, 37, conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine
The cocaine-distribution charges carry between five and 40 years in prison. The crack-cocaine charges carry between 10 years and life in prison.
Logan remains the only suspect at large, the USAO said.

The ring also operated out of Cliffwood, Keansburg, Matawan, Keyport, Red Bank, Long Branch, Neptune, Asbury Park and Brick Township (Ocean County), the USAO said.
