5 Stores Close In Monmouth Mall: Report

Five stores have closed in the past month at Monmouth Mall, according to The Journal NJ. Chef's Gyro, Lord & Taylor, Yankee Candle, Bobby's Burger Place and Johnny Rockets ended operations in the mall in Eatontown, The Journal NJ reported.

It is unclear whether there are plans in place for new businesses to open in the mall. Mall management did not return comment in time for publication.

The Lord & Taylor had 124 employees, according to The Journal NJ.

Eatontown's planning board approved a $350 million plan from Kushner Cos. in July for a mall redesign, according to the Asbury Park Press. Kushner Cos. — the mall's owners — is owned by the family of Jared Kushner, a senior advisor to President Donald Trump.
