6 Long Branch-Area Clergymen On Church Sex Abuse List

The Diocese of Trenton updated information regarding 30 clergymen "credibly accused" of sexual abuse of minors. Six of the men have connections to the Long Branch and Eatontown areas.

The Catholic Church began releasing information on credibly accused clergymen on Wednesday. But the Trenton Diocese did not include their assignments until Friday.

The list includes two men who served at St. Michael in the West End. According to the Trenton Diocese, clergymen with Long Branch-area connections include:

• Richard C. Brietske: Born 1936, ordained 1962. Served at Monmouth College. One victim. Removed from ministry.
• Gerald J. Brown: Born 1936, ordained 1961. Served at St. Michael, West End. Multiple victims. Deceased.
• Manuel R. M. Fernandez: Born 1935, ordained 1959. Served at Eatontown Mission; St. John the Baptist, Long Branch; Star of the Sea, Long Branch. Multiple victims. Deceased.
• Thomas J. Frain: Born 1921, ordained 1948. Served at St. Michael, West End. Multiple Victims. Deceased.
• Frank J. Iazzetta: Born 1942, ordained 1967. Served at Holy Trinity, Long Branch. Multiple victims. Deceased.
• Leo A. Kelty: Born 1934, ordained 1960. Served at St. Dorothea, Eatontown. One victim. Deceased.
