LONG BRANCH, NJ — Long Branch's luxury housing boom continues: Inkwell Lofts condos are now open and selling in the West End.

Starting with Pier Village, Long Branch is now popular with retirees, "discerning buyers who seek an upscale, low-fuss beach life," is how real estate marketing agents describe the city, particularly its upscale West End neighborhood (the neighborhood Bruce Springsteen lived in when he was broke, in his mid-20s and just happened to write a little album called "Born to Run.")

It's three stories, 22 condos total located at the corner of Second Avenue and New Court, one block from the beach at Ocean Avenue.

The Inkwell has one-bedroom-plus-den and two-bedroom condos, some with private balconies. Pricing for the remaining condos starts at $830,000, with select condos priced up to $1.1 million. One year of homeowners' association fees is included, courtesy of the developer, Ralph Zucker, CEO of Somerset Development and who also owns Bell Works in Holmdel.

Almost Home, the super local coffee shop/general store that first started in the Navesink section of Middletown, has an 800-square-foot café on the building’s ground floor. And there's a rooftop with Atlantic Ocean views.

“The Inkwell Lofts presents a rare opportunity to own a newly built, move-in-ready residence that offers lock-and-leave ease in an exceptionally located, charming beachside neighborhood,” said sales director Matthew Drennan.

The building has an indoor parking garage next door available for residents.

“With strong demand for high-quality residences near the beach, delivering the building ahead of summer allows homeowners to immediately enjoy everything the city has to offer," said Zucker. "We’re proud to bring The Inkwell Lofts to life."

Architects for the Inkwell Lofts are Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners.

Zucker/Somerset hinted that he has several high-profile, large-scale redevelopment and development projects under construction or in the planning stages. Stay tuned.
