EATONTOWN, NJ — We told you a CAVA Mediterranean-style restaurant is coming to the former Monmouth Mall location in Eatontown.

And now, CAVA announced they will officially open their doors for business on Monday, Sept 21. CAVA is located at 180 Rt. 35, Eatontown, NJ 07724. They'll open at 10:30 Monday.

They'll be open daily from 10:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.

CAVA is the place where you can make your own salads, with grilled meats and veggies, or rice/grain bowls. They have lots of different hummus and sauces. CAVA says they serve "Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips and dressings."

Monmouth Mall, owned by Kushner developer, was torn down and the developer plans to re-birth it as "Monmouth Square." It will have luxury apartments built in a townhome-style, shops and restaurants.

In the past two years, Kushner demolished big parts of the Old mall and reduced its footprint by 40 percent. The new Monmouth Square will have an open-air feel, with walking paths and shops built around a large center green. Kushner's plan is to return Monmouth Mall to be an open-air mall similar to the way it was in the 1960s.

Several new stores signed leases to open at Monmouth Square. In addition to CAVA, they are Prince Street Pizza, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Offshore Coffee, Arhaus, Design Within Reach, Pura Vida and STRONG Pilates. Felice Italian restaurant and wine bar also plans to open there. The Whole Foods opened at Monmouth Square in July.

Macy's, Boscov's and AMC movie theater remain at the mall, along with the Barnes & Noble.

Before the doors officially open, every CAVA restaurant invites everyone to a free meal, accepts donations to support a local cause, and matches those donations up to $1,000. CAVA's Monmouth Mall event is raising funds for Food Rescue U.S. Bridgewater.
