Long Branch Man Accused Of Illegal Dumping In Wall Twp.

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Long Branch man was arrested in Wall Township after police say they tied him to five separate incidents of illegal dumping at a commercial property on Campus Parkway.

Wall Police say Jovane Jordan, 28, of Long Branch did the illegal dumping between August 12 and September 8.

He was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree unlawful disposal of waste, resisting arrest (a disorderly persons offense), petty disorderly persons criminal trespassing and illegal dumping, a violation of a town ordinance.

Wall Police officers responded to a business on Campus Parkway on three separate occasions after the business said someone was doing unauthorized dumping of household trash there.

Police say Jordan dumped items that had recently been sold at auction and were being kept in storage facilities.

In total, he is accused of dumping more than 10 cubic yards of unwanted items, which resulted in removal costs exceeding $2,000.

Wall Police say they were able to identify him by a white box truck, equipped with a snowplow, which they saw at the scene and traced back to Jordan's address in Long Branch. When Jordan was arrested Tuesday, his 2003 GMC 3500 rack-body truck was impounded pending forfeiture proceedings.

Jordan was taken to the Monmouth County jail.
