• Fire destroys house next to Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' cottage in NJ (abc7ny.com) — A serious early-morning fire in Long Branch destroyed a house next door to the cottage where Bruce Springsteen wrote much of "Born to Run," but the historic home itself escaped damage. Firefighters rescued several residents, battled heavy winds, and later demolished the burned structure because it was unsafe, with officials reporting no serious injuries.
