• Long Branch Construction Underway on Ocean Fishing Pier With State Funding (wrat.com) — Construction is underway on a new, fully accessible ocean fishing pier off Long Branch's boardwalk at Pier Village, replacing the pier lost to fire nearly 40 years ago. Funded largely by state and federal grants, the 550-foot structure will include a mid-pier seating area and restore a signature feature of the city's waterfront while echoing its historic predecessor.
   

• Gripper Announce Debut Album 'Another Night Of Fun On Me' (stereogum.com) — Long Branch music fans can catch Philly garage-punk band Gripper at The Pop Club on October 9 as part of their upcoming tour. The group, featuring members of several regional bands, is gearing up to release its debut album "Another Night Of Fun On Me" next year and has shared two new songs ahead of the show.
