• Long Branch Day Returns Oct. 10 With Costumes, Pumpkin Patch, Bouncy Houses & More (TAPinto.net) — Long Branch families can head to the Free Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 10, for Long Branch Day, an afternoon packed with Halloween costumes, pumpkin patch fun, bouncy houses, and music. From 1 to 4 p.m., kids can join a costume contest, scavenger hunt, and trick-or-treating with local businesses, making it a lively neighborhood gathering on Broadway.
   

• NJ Transit Cancels Multiple North Jersey Coast Line Trains Over Mechanical Issues (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Commuters in Long Branch saw four North Jersey Coast Line trains canceled Tuesday afternoon because of mechanical problems, with some runs replaced by buses. Service between Bay Head and Long Branch was disrupted during the rush, so riders were shifted to later trains or substitute buses and urged to check NJ Transit alerts before traveling.
