CERT Grows by 18 at Open House

The Shore Area CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), created in January at the Eatontown Firehouse to come up with new ways for recruitment, training, and to become a resource for each others CERT teams.

I want to thank Little Silver, , Oceanport, , , and Office of Emergency Management and CERT members that participated in our first recruitment open house. Special thanks for Oceanport and Tinton Falls for bringing their equipment.  I'm sure everyone will agree with me that it was a success especially, not knowing what to expect because people had the opportunity to speak to us  and ask questions. In total we signed up 18 new members between all the teams. Our next priority is to get those new members through the 20 basic CERT training.
