On Saturday, June 3rd the Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury Senior Living community in Tinton Falls hosted a Dog Days of Summer event to celebrate local Tinton Falls residents and their own personal, lovable pooch. The charitable event was to benefit the “3 HEARTS 4 PAWS Rescue” at Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury, located at 864 Shrewsbury Avenue in Tinton Falls and there was a lot of exciting activity for both the canines and their owners.
To get things started, Chaplain Matty Giuliano of the Monmouth County SPCA was on site to gather everyone’s personal pet for a group wide blessing. The owners and their dogs were quite moved by his chosen words and, after the blessing, everyone was ready to dig down deep and have some fun.
Over a dozen dogs were present from spaniels to labs and even a very beautiful Bernese mountain dog. There were delicious hot dogs on hand for the pet owners and lots of special goodies and treats, in particular, for everyone’s personal pet.

As part of the festivities, the Tinton Falls Police Department demonstrated how well the community is protected by the city's police department and their K-9 unit. Sergeant Anthony Turso and his team wowed the crowd with an educational perpetrator attack scenario.
It was a very festive affair, but more than this, the ultimate reason for the Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury Dog Days of Summer event, which was also co-sponsored by Embracing Hospice, was to help support a very good cause. Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury is collecting donations to benefit “3 HEARTS 4 PAWS” and, it’s not too late for you to get in on the good will!
